Keuchel agreed to a one-year, $7.25 million contract with the Astros on Friday, Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis:
Keuchel drastically improved his numbers between the 2013 and 2014 seasons, and his success continued into last season as well. The 27-year-old finished the campaign with a 2.48 ERA and 1.02 WHIP with 216 strikeouts over 232 innings, earning him a nice paycheck in his first year of arbitration in addition to the AL Cy Young award. He should slot in atop the Astros' rotation once again in 2016.
