The Chicago White Sox have signed catcher Hector Sanchez to a minor-league contract, Sanchez's agent announced Monday.
Sanchez was non-tendered by the San Francisco Giants earlier in December, and will serve as organizational depth behind Alex Avila and Dioner Navarro.
The 26-year-old hit .179/.207/.304 with a home run and five RBIs in 28 contests last year.
