The St. Louis Cardinals are no longer in the running for free-agent outfielder Jason Heyward, according to multiple reports.
The Cardinals were believed to be among the finalists to sign the 26-year-old Heyward, who has reportedly decided where he'll play next season, reports Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Sources tell Goold that Heyward notified the Cardinals he will not be returning to the club.
