Buehrle hasn't made decision regarding retirement

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Mark Buehrle may not be retiring after this season after all.

Widely assumed to be calling it quits after the Toronto Blue Jays' playoff run, the 36-year-old told ESPN he hasn't made a decision on his future and will listen to offers in the offseason.

"I snuck into this league, and I'm going to sneak out," Buehrle said, referring to his remarkable journey to the majors after being selected in the 38th round of the 1998 amateur draft.

The southpaw finished 2015 just 1 1/3 innings short of his 15th straight campaign pitching at least 200 innings. He posted a 15-8 record with a 3.81 ERA for the AL East champions, but his late-season struggles kept him off the playoff roster.

Buehrle added that he has no interest in signing a minor-league deal, and is only seeking a guaranteed contract.
