Jake Arrieta: Dominant Wednesday in Wild Card game
Arrieta tossed a complete-game shutout in Wednesday's wild-card game win over Pittsburgh.
Analysis:
The Cubs plated a run against Gerrit Cole in the top of the first inning, and that turned out to be all of the support that Arrieta needed to send the Cubs onward to the rest of the postseason. He finished the game with 11 strikeouts and did not walk a batter, scattering four hits and benefiting from a handful of the Bucs' hard-hit balls finding defenders behind him.
