Turner expects to play Game 5 after exiting with knee swelling
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner is considered day to day after leaving Game 4 in the eighth inning because of swelling in his knee.
Turner was replaced by Corey Seager at third as part of a double switch with shortstop Jimmy Rollins after flying out in the eighth. However, he expects to suit up for Thursday's winner-take-all.
"It's still on my leg, so we'll be good to go," Turner said of his knee after the Dodgers' 3-1 win over the New York Mets.
Turner delivered a key two-run double during the Dodgers' three-run third inning and is now batting .467/.500/.733 in the series. He's battled persistent soreness in his left knee for years.
"Honestly, I never thought he'd be this good of a hitter," Clayton Kershaw joked to reporters postgame.
