Carlos Santana picked an ideal time to crush his first home run since Aug. 23.

The Cleveland Indians first baseman launched his second career grand slam off Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale in the third inning Friday night to give his squad a 6-0 advantage.

Sale, who entered the contest with the most strikeouts in the American League (250), has been surprisingly susceptible to the long ball in bases-loaded situations.

The Indians routed the White Sox 12-1 to move back to .500 (73-73) and pull within three games of the Houston Astros for the final AL playoff spot.
