The surging Cleveland Indians are determined to pry their way back into the playoff race. Just ask Francisco Lindor.

The Indians shortstop tried to fire up his team Tuesday after impressively avoiding Ryan Goins' tag as he slid into second base with an eighth-inning double and his team trailing 3-2 to Toronto.

Despite Kevin Pillar's throw getting to the base first, the safe call was upheld after replays showed Lindor's clever maneuver.

Goins would later top Lindor, though, when the Blue Jays second baseman hit a walk-off homer in extra innings to snap the Indians' six-game winning streak with a 5-3 victory.
