VIDEO: Rusney Castillo embarrassingly flips ball into stands with only 2 outs
Rusney Castillo hasn't lived up to expectations since singing his massive seven-year, $72.5-million contract, and he didn't help his cause Wednesday after making an embarrassing mental mistake with new President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski watching.
Castillo made a routine catch in center field to record the second out of the seventh inning, and then - thinking the inning was over - casually flipped the ball into the stands to a fan.
Cleveland Indians outfielder Abraham Almonte was able to advance from first base to third base on the play, but the Red Sox escaped the inning unscathed to bail Castillo out.

Castillo has struggled with injuries all season, and entered play hitting .281/.315/.403 with four homers and 19 RBIs in 44 games.
