St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Jason Heyward (hamstring) remains out of the lineup Wednesday against the San Francisco Giants.
Analysis:
Heyward exited Monday's game with a hamstring issue, and missed each of the past two contests because of it. His absence will extend through Wednesday's game, but perhaps the Thursday off day will provide him with enough rest to rejoin the lineup Friday.
