Danny Valencia has found a new home.
The Oakland Athletics claimed the utility man off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, two days after he was designated for assignment.
Valencia was made expendable after the Blue Jays made a flurry of moves leading up to the non-waiver trade deadline.
The 30-year-old is hitting .296/.331/.506 with seven home runs, 13 doubles, and 29 RBIs through 58 games, while playing five different positions.
