David Freese (hand) has been placed on the disabled list, Taylor Blake Ward of Scout.com reports.
Freese (hand) was placed on the 15-day DL on Thursday.
Analysis:
As expected, Freese will hit the DL with a fractured right index finger, which he sustained Wednesday night against the Twins. Freese, who fractured his middle finger in May and missed 18 days, said he's expecting a similar return timetable. The third baseman will keep the finger in a splint for two weeks before being re-evaluated. In a corresponding move, the Angels called up Kyle Kubitza from Triple-A.
