Alex Rodriguez is showing no signs of slowing down.
Ten days shy of his 40th birthday, A-Rod blasted the go-ahead home run in the seventh inning of the New York Yankees' 4-3 win over the Seattle Mariners on Friday.

Rodriguez was left off the American League All-Star roster, and while he expressed his disappointment earlier in the week, he acknowledged that the four-day break didn't hurt.
"I'm rested, I'm healthy, and it definitely felt good tonight," Rodriguez told reporters. "I don't know if I needed it ... (but) the rest was very beneficial for me, especially when I was gone serving my suspension and maybe the four days (helped)."
The home run was the 19th on the year for Rodriguez - the most he's recorded in a season since 2010 - and helped the Yankees to their fifth win in their last six games.
"That's a big hit and Alex has that ability to hit the ball (to) any part of the ballpark," manager Joe Girardi said. "It gets the second half started right."
