Orioles' Schoop activated from DL, batting 8th vs. White Sox

Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jonathan Schoop (knee) was reinstated from the 60-day DL on Sunday, MASN Sports' Roch Kubatko reports.
Analysis:
With the Orioles sending Ryan Flaherty down to Triple-A Norfolk, Schoop will have a clear path to at-bats as he returns to action with the big club for the first time since mid-April. Schoop was off to a 7-for-27 start to the season and homered three times in nine games before succumbing to the knee injury. His average may remain a bit of risk the rest of the day, but he should be capable of providing above-average pop from a middle-infield spot.
