Mark Teixeira, the New York Yankees' veteran first baseman, is a pretty stoic ballplayer, relatively speaking. Despite a mantle full of Gold Gloves and Silver Slugger awards, Teixeira has never been one for flash or exuberant celebrations.
On Friday night, however, the 35-year-old couldn't help but embellish his game-tying, three-run blast off Tampa Bay Rays reliever Kevin Jepsen in the bottom of the eighth inning at Yankee Stadium, punctuating his homer with a pretty epic bat drop.

In the midst of a nice resurgence, Teixeira's homer in Friday's series opener was his 20th of the season. Last summer, the two-time All-Star didn't record his 20th home run until August 17.
