VIDEO: Astros bring Springer in to pinch run, gets picked off

George Springer was held out of the Houston Astros' starting lineup Wednesday, but the 25-year-old still made a memorable impact on the game.
Tied 1-1 with no outs in the ninth inning, manager A.J. Hinch pinch ran Springer for Preston Tucker, a decision that couldn't have turned out worse for the Astros.
With Evan Gattis batting, Los Angeles Angels right-hander Joe Smith threw over to first base and caught Springer leaning the wrong way to record the pick off.

The play was challenged, though the call was upheld.
