The St. Louis Cardinals have selected outfielder Nick Plummer with the 23rd overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft.
A solid left-handed bat, the Cardinals picked up the speedy outfielder simply based on the fact that he's an athlete who projects. Of all the outfielders on the board, Plummer is the most evenly balanced.
From a tools standpoint, he doesn't excel in one particular area. Instead, he's the type of player you need to watch in order to understand that he knows how to play the game the right way.

Overview
The Michigan product has been incredible in his final two years of high school batting over .500 as his career winds down at Brother Rice High school. The outfielder has committed to the University of Kentucky but is expected to sign a pro deal if drafted high.
Currently more of a base-stealing threat, scouts are excited about his offensive potential as his game and body develops. Evaluators believe he has the tools to be a 20/20 player at the big league level. Plummer has a weak arm but his strong reads have scouts believing he could start at center field.
