Erick Aybar: Exits with Tight Hamstring

Aybar exited Thursday's game against the Tigers in the sixth inning with left hamstring tightness, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Aybar appeared to tweak his hamstring when he attempted to run out a bunt. He was replaced in the next half inning at shortstop by Taylor Featherston, but the Angels haven't provided word on the severity of the injury just yet. If Aybar is forced to head to the DL as a result of the injury, it would be a crippling blow to the offense-starved Angels, as the infielder had been one of their most productive hitters, posting a .341 average over the last 23 games.
