Jose Urena: Will Make Debut Tuesday
Urena, who is scheduled to start against the Pirates on Tuesday, has been recalled from Triple-A New Orleans, Joe Capozzi of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Analysis:
The 23-year-old Urena owns a 1.21 ERA through six starts for Triple-A New Orleans, but he's never had much luck missing bats, including this season (5.3 K/9). On the plus side, he has consistently posted low walk and home run rates throughout the minor leagues, so he could be a serviceable short-term option. Given the current rash of injuries in the Miami rotation, Urena has a good shot to stick around beyond Tuesday, assuming his outing isn't a disaster.
