Nationals' Roark to make first start of season Monday vs. Cubs
Dale Zanine / USA TODAY Sports
Washington Nationals right-hander Tanner Roark will start Monday against the Cubs, Mark Zuckerman of CSN Washington reports.
Analysis:
Previous reports suggested Roark would start either Monday or Tuesday, but the team has settled on Monday for the right-hander's first start of the season. Jordan Zimmermann will be moved back to Tuesday. Roark hasn't thrown more than 49 pitches in any appearance in May, but he last pitched on May 17 and it seems likely the team stretched him out more on the side this week.
