Perez (elbow) will make his first rehab appearance June 5 in an extended spring game, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Analysis:
Perez underwent Tommy John surgery just over 12 months ago, so he'll still likely remain out until at least after the All-Star break, but he appears to be progressing well. The lefty has been able to throw off a mound since March and should have a clearer timetable if all goes well in his first rehab start.
