Twins' Nunez hits DL with oblique strain

Minnesota Twins shortstop Eduardo Nunez was placed on the 15-day DL Tuesday with an oblique strain, Fox Sports North's Tyler Mason reports.
Analysis:
He did not play in Tuesday's game, so it's not quite clear where this injury came from, although it certainly explains why Nunez has been out of action since Apr. 29. The Twins will be able to backdate the stay a week, so he could be activated by mid-May. Doug Bernier was recalled as a corresponding move.
