Blue Jays sit Bautista to rest sore shoulder

The Toronto Blue Jays will keep Jose Bautista out of Tuesday's lineup versus the New York Yankees as he recovers from a sore shoulder, according to The National Post's John Lott.
The outfielder has been serving as the designated hitter for the past few contests after missing five consecutive games from April 22-26.
His absence from the lineup isn't particularly concerning, though Bautista indicated over the weekend that he's not quite ready to begin throwing yet. Edwin Encarnacion will slide into the DH role, while Justin Smoak takes over at first base.
