Cincinnati Reds shortstop Zack Cozart was diagnosed with a bruised right index finger after leaving Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves.
Analysis:
X-rays fortunately came back negative for the shortstop, who departed in the fourth inning after he attempted to field a bad hop with his throwing hand. Though a stint on the disabled list doesn't appear to be in the cards, Cozart is still being labeled as day-to-day and thus could be at risk of missing Tuesday's game against the Pirates.
