The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed veteran first baseman/outfielder Mike Carp to a minor-league contract, according to Eric Stephen of True Blue LA.
Carp, who was cut by the Washington Nationals prior to Opening Day and refused a minors assignment, could make $1 million if he reaches the majors, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
The 28-year-old owns a .254/.330/.414 slash line and should serve as organization depth for the Dodgers.
