Carlos Gomez: (Hamstring) Needs DL Stint
Gomez (hamstring) will be placed on the 15-day disabled list, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Analysis:
Gomez returned to Milwaukee on Thursday to have his hamstring examined, and the tests revealed a small defect or tear. He got a cortisone shot to treat the inflammation but will still require a stint on the disabled list. In Gomez's absence, Gerardo Parra figures to get most of the playing time in center field, with Logan Schafer moving into the fourth outfielder role. Gomez will be eligible to return from the disabled list May 1.
