Analysis:

Olmos said he thought he'd be ready for Opening Day after resuming a throwing program a little over two weeks ago, but apparently he has not progressed as expected. He was shut down early in camp with a shoulder impingement. The DL stint will be backdated to Mar. 30, but it's uncertain whether Olmos will be ready to return when first eligible.
