Dodgers' Puig 'fine' following collision with Kendrick in outfield

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was forced to leave Thursday's exhibition game against the Los Angeles Angels after colliding with second baseman Howie Kendrick in right field.

Puig appeared to get the worst of the hit, taking a blow to the side of the head.

The Dodgers said Puig's throat and neck area took the brunt of the impact, and that his exit was strictly precautionary. Puig told reporters he was "fine" as he left the clubhouse.
