Scheppers (ankle) is unlikely to be ready for Opening Day, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Analysis:
Scheppers traveled back to Texas to have his ankle examined, after undergoing an MRI on Monday. In the likely event he's placed on the disabled list, he'll be eligible to make his season debut April 11. Once healthy, Scheppers is expected to work as the primary setup man in front of closer Neftali Feliz.
