Cordier (forearm) threw off flat ground this week, but will start the year on the disabled list, CSN Bay Area reports.
Analysis:
Cordier has been shut down after experiencing forearm cramps this spring. The fact that he is throwing is a good sign that the injury isn't too serious, but he will start the year on the DL in order to save a spot on the 25-man roster. When healthy, Cordier regularly touches triple digits on the radar gun, but doesn't offer anything else other than an average - at best - slider.
