Aramis Ramirez: Retiring After 2015 Season
Ramirez has said 2015 will be his final season in MLB, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
This will end a sterling career for Ramirez, in which he hit .285/.344/.496 across 17 seasons for the Pirates, Cubs, and Brewers. Thanks to his longevity, the 36-year-old also currently has 2,186 career hits and 369 home runs. He's not a hall of famer, but you'd be hard-pressed to find someone that doesn't think Ramirez wasn't an above-average third baseman for the vast majority of his career.
