Wainwright will be examined in St. Louis for abdominal soreness, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis:
Wainwright was limited in his non-throwing workouts because of the pain and will see a specialist Thursday. Wainwright insisted that he had no soreness or pain in his arm and that throwing did not bring on the abdominal pain. Obviously there is some cause for concern if he needs to see a specialist but the fact that he can throw without pain is a bit of a silver lining.
