Swisher (knee) has been cleared to resume running and plans to be ready by Opening Day, MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Swisher underwent surgery on both knees toward the end of the 2014 season, and while he was initially expected to be fully healthy by the start of spring training, the 34-year-old indicated that he'd rather play it safe than come back too soon. When he does return, Swisher could be in line to take over the starting job in right field, but he could also see some playing time at first or as the DH.
