Report: Twins, Trevor Plouffe avoid arbitration with 1-year contract

The Minnesota Twins have avoided arbitration with third baseman Trevor Plouffe by agreeing to a one-year deal, reports Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Plouffe will make $4.8 million in 2015.
The 28-year-old hit .258 with 14 home runs and 80 RBIs in 136 games in 2014.
