The Pittsburgh Pirates announced Friday they have signed free-agent outfielder Corey Hart to a one-year contract.
Jon Heyman of CBS Sports is reporting the deal is worth $2.5 million, plus another $2.5 million in incentives.
Hart's production was slowed by leg injuries last season with the Seattle Mariners after missing all of 2013 recovering from knee surgery. Prior to that, Hart hit at least 26 homers in each of his previous three seasons.
