Kipnis underwent surgery on his left ring finger Tuesday, Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Analysis:
Kipnis injured the finger during a workout but should be 100 percent by the time the 2015 regular season begins. He had issues staying on the field last season, playing in only 129 games due in large part to oblique and hamstring issues. Kipnis hit just .240 with 41 RBI after posting a .284 average with 84 RBI and 17 home runs in 2013.
