Brett Anderson: Agrees To One-Year, $10 Million Contract With Dodgers
Anderson agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract with the Dodgers on Monday, Buster Olney of ESPN reports.
Analysis:
Anderson's deal includes $4 million in possible incentives, meaning he could earn up to $14 million in 2015. The 26-year-old started just eight games for the Rockies in 2014 to the tune of a 2.91 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with 29 strikeouts over 43.1 innings. However, his past track record with the Athletics, the promise he showed in his eight starts last season and the value of starting pitching has landed him in the double-digit millions. Anderson is coming off surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back, but he could be ready for spring training.
