Jed Lowrie: Agrees To Three-Year Deal With Astros
Lowrie agreed to a three-year deal with the Astros on Monday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Lowrie didn't receive a qualifying offer from the Athletics earlier in the offseason and hence became a free agent. In 136 games last season, the 30-year-old hit .249/.321/.355 with six home runs, 50 RBI and 59 runs scored. He was in a highly productive A's lineup last season, however, and will now join an Astros lineup that scored 100 runs less than the Athletics last season.
