Seattle Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik delivered some encouraging news about his club's best player Tuesday afternoon at the winter meetings.

Zduriencik told MLB.com's Greg Johns that second baseman Robinson Cano is "full speed ahead" after fracturing his pinkie toe during the Japan All-Star Series roughly four weeks ago.

Cano's recovery has gone according to plan thus far and the 32-year-old is expected to resume regular offseason workouts shortly. A six-time All-Star, Cano hit .314/.382/.454 (142 OPS+) with 14 home runs over 157 games last season and should be ready when spring training opens in February.
