Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano is done playing baseball for the next month.

Representing the MLB All-Stars in Japan, Cano was hit in the right foot by a pitch during Saturday's game against Samurai Japan. It resulted in a non-displaced fracture of Cano's pinkie toe and he will need three-to-four weeks to recover, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. The Mariners later confirmed the report and said Cano is expected to be ready for spring training.

Cano, who was 0-for-2 in the game, tried to walk off his injury but was replaced by pinch runner Jose Altuve.

"It's part of the game, getting hurt," Cano told DiComo before going for X-rays. "I'll be fine.

The 32-year-old Cano has been incredibly durable over his major league career, missing just 19 games over the last eight seasons.
