The Los Angeles Angels have locked up their closer for another season.

The team exercised its 2015 option on right-hander Huston Street on Thursday.

Street, who was acquired from the San Diego Padres in July, converted 17 of his 19 save opportunities and posted a stellar 1.71 ERA in 28 appearances for the Halos.

The 31-year-old has recorded 20 saves or more in every campaign since 2008, establishing himself as one of the game's elite closers.
