The Kansas City Royals were oh so close - 90 feet from tying Game 7 in the bottom of the ninth. And the Kansas City Star captured the moment perfectly on the front page of Thursday's paper:

The San Francisco Giants prevailed 3-2 in Game 7, thanks to Madison Bumgarner, becoming the first team in 10 to win a do-or-die game for the World Series title on the road.

In the end, though, it was a remarkable run in Kansas City, one that put the Royals back on the baseball map.

Thanks, KC. We won't forget. And we'll always trust The Process.
