Braves president stills wants John Hart as full-time GM
It remains unclear if John Hart is willing to take over as full-time general manager of the Atlanta Braves, but the veteran executive remains the top choice for team president John Schuerholz, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden.
Schuerholz made it clear to us this morning that his first choice is for John Hart to be their full-time GM…but will not force the timeline

Hart was named the club's interim general manager when Frank Wren was fired last month after the Braves were eliminated from postseason contention. Schuerholz subsequently approached Hart about taking over as full-time general manager, but the 66-year-old reportedly rejected the offer, according to Yahoo's Jeff Passan.
Schuerholz, however, refuted Passan's claims shortly thereafter, though he did not provide additional information about the club's search for a general manager.
“At best the article was not accurate with either the facts or the assumptions,” Schuerholz said in an email to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in response to a question about the report, which cited unnamed sources.
