In an attempt to bring about more offense, the New York Mets will move the fences in at Citi Field for the second time in six years, according to Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News.
Following the 2011 season, the team brought the wall in left field in from 371 feet to 358, the right-center wall in from 415 feet to 390 and the right field wall in from 378 to 375.
Since Citi Field opened in 2009, the Mets have ranked in the bottom third of the league every season in home runs at their own ballpark.
