Analysis:
After missing the 2013 season due to Tommy John surgery, Kelly didn't make an appearance after May 19 as a result of a sore right elbow. Prior to the shutdown, he posted a 2.21 ERA, 1.279 WHIP, and 17:1 K:BB in 20.1 innings across four starts at High-A Lake Elsinore and Double-A San Antonio. In early August, he started playing catch, which, along with the aforementioned program, will aid in his aim to be ready for spring training next year.
