Miami Marlins right-hander Jose Fernandez uttered words Friday no opposing teams want to hear after completing his second throwing session since undergoing Tommy John surgery in May.

"I have never felt this good ever," Fernandez told the Miami Herald. "The ball is coming out of my hand effortlessly."

Fernandez made 25 throws, with a team trainer present, from as far back as 45 feet. The plan is for the 22-year-old to throw three times a week before increasing the intensity of his rehab.

Miami's ace, who won the 2013 Rookie of the Year award, sports a 2.25 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 257 strikeouts over 224 1/3 career innings.
