The Atlanta Braves will need to find someone new to fix the club's offensive woes after hitting coach Greg Walker resigned Tuesday, according to the team's official Twitter account.

Once thought to be a legitimate postseason contender, the Braves were among the worst offensive teams in the league in 2014, averaging a mere 3.54 runs per game, the second-lowest mark in the majors.

Walker, whose playing career in the major leagues spanned parts of nine seasons, took over as the Braves hitting coach before the 2012 campaign.
