by Rotowire

Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Ben Revere will undergo surgery in October to remove two screws from his right ankle, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis:

Revere has the screws in his ankle from a broken foot he suffered last season. He played through some pain this year which will be alleviated when the screws are removed. Revere hit .306/.325/.361 with two home runs and 49 stolen bases in 601 at-bats this season.
