Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley is having one of the most potent offensive seasons in team history.
Brantley's single off Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Alex Colome on Saturday night marked his 200th hit of the season, making him the first batter in team history to have at least 20 stolen bases, 20 home runs, 40 doubles and 200 hits in a single campaign.
The All-Star is also the first Indians player to reach the 200-hit plateau since Kenny Lofton (210 hits) accomplished the feat in 1996.
Brantley is under contract until 2019 and will make $5 million next season – a bargain considering his breakout season.
