The St. Louis Cardinals have officially punched their ticket to the postseason, before even taking the field Sunday.

The Milwaukee Brewers fell 1-0 to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday afternoon, allowing the Cardinals to clinch a wild-card berth. That is far from the goal for Mike Matheny and Co., however, as their magic number is now five for clinching the National League Central title.

The Cardinals will send Lance Lynn to the hill Sunday night while the Cincinnati Reds counter with 14-game winner Alfredo Simon.
